Grand Mesa Baptist Church has always had a strong missions emphasis. Almost since the beginning, there has been at least one retired missionary couple as members here, sometimes two or three. Fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20) is one of our primary reasons for existence.
Missions and outreach with the Gospel (good news) is the primary reason we associate with the Southern Baptist Convention. Cooperating with other like-minded churches, we have a presence for the Lord in Colorado, throughout North America, and around the world.
This is done, in part, through regular contributions to the Cooperative Program. Additionally, we participate in seasonal missions emphases:
- The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering benefits international missions through the International Mission Board (SBC).
- The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering provides funding for the North American Mission Board.
- The Nicy Murphy offering in the fall provides support for missions endeavors in Colorado.

Recent mission trips by some of our members have included to Thailand, Guatemala, Mexico, and the annual mission trips to Voice of the Martyrs headquarters in support of that ministry. (The trips in 2020 and 2021 were canceled by VOM due to the Covid virus situation.)
