The 2019 mission trip to Voice of the Martyrs HQ in Oklahoma is scheduled for Sept. 14-22 There will be opportunities to donate supplies for victims of persecution; there will be opportunity to contribute financial support; there is opportunity to go and help. If you think you might have any interest in volunteering and going on this trip, you need to complete a volunteer application, and allow time for processing. The annual Crag Crest hike and BBQ is Friday, September 13, 2019. Hikers meet Bill Cornell at the west end parking lot off Highway 65 at 9:00am. The picnic will be at the Crag Crest campground at the east end of the trail. Judy Simms will be there at 9am and would welcome helpers and company. Hamburgers, buns, condiments, and water will be provided. The rest will be potluck. Meal starts at 12 noon.

May 27 is the 40th anniversary of the founding of GMSBC. We will have a special service at 10:45 am on Sunday, May 26, followed by a potluck dinner. Anyone who has attended or been affiliated with the church in the past is invited to join us.
Friends of Larry and JoAnn Burns are invited to celebrate with them their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday afternoon, May 19, 2019, 1:00 to 3:30 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The address is: 395 31 5/8 Road, Grand Junction.
The men will be hosting breakfast at 9:00 am on Resurrection Sunday (April 21). This is for all church members and guests. Please come and enjoy the food and fellowship and plan to stay for the morning service at 10:45, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.
A new members class is beginning Wed. Feb. 13 at 1:00 pm. This is a series of three classes. All are welcome to attend – learn about what we believe, our history, our ministries. There’s no obligation to join the church, before or after the class; it’s simply an opportunity to learn what we’re about and determine if you want to be a part of it.
